Teeth are precision milled into the tungsten carbide, forming sharp pyramid-shapes to provide a positive non-slip grip on needles and sutures.

Tungsten Carbide Needle Holders are specifically designed for precise suturing. Each instrument is satin finished to reduce glare. The edges around the outside of the jaws are chamfered to prevent accidental cutting of suture material when held in the jaws. The edges around the box lock have distinct non-catch bevels, preventing fraying of suture material. Gold plated finger rings identify these tungsten carbide instruments.
